Engineering the flow of photons.
Light scattering from surfaces where two different components meet in a circuit that uses photons instead of electrons as its currency has been a major problem for more than a century.
This Research Council 'Basic Technology Research Programme' project aims to solve this problem by swapping Victorian technology for a modern approach based on robust and reliable manufacturing methods for integrating micro- and nanoscale components of chemically dissimilar materials.
Open Day - Thursday 9th September 2009
Planned to coincide with the mid-term review of the Photon Flow project,
the Open Day will be an opportunity for all to meet with the Research
Partners.
The event is being hosted at the Centre
for Advanced Photonics Engineering (CAPE) in Cambridge and will be open
to invited members of the public.
